Learn how The Cynical Guru (TCG) can help you conquer the Cynical World.

Overview

This page will orient you to the unique perspectives of The Cynical Guru.

TCG's philosophy is that you must take responsibility for your results. If you commit to that, you will succeed.

1. Philosophy

The Cynical Guru's goal is to help people help themselves. Of course, I cannot help everyone. If you don't want to help yourself, then unfortunately there's nothing I can do.

I guarantee you will improve your life by learning and applying my unique Cynical Perspectives. If something I say makes you uncomfortable - that's a sign that, deep down, you know that changes (in thinking or acting) are necessary.

Cynical adults make choices and take responsibility for their results. Supporting and facilitating the achievement of your goals is my sincere desire.

2. Uncomfortable Truths

YOU are the product/commodity in the Cynical Age.

All the "FREE" stuff you use and take for granted COSTS YOU!!! You pay with your privacy, your behavior, and your data.

Companies then use your data to take advantage of you!

Decades ago, I read a blog that discussed a specific marketing technique used by a security monitoring company; I visited that company's website to check it out.

Right after, when I used Google or visited other websites, I was presented with security monitoring ads. It was obvious to me that data abuse would only get worse....

TCG will show you how to protect yourself from the selfish abuses by malevolent companies and individuals.

3. Take Action

If you think you are immune and have it figured out, I congratulate you. If you understand how individuals, companies, and governments manipulate you, then you don't need TCG.

But if you want to learn how to survive and thrive in the Cynical World, consider this:

I walked by a gentleman and his dog sitting on the porch steps. As I neared, his dog let out a little whine. A moment later, his dog whined again.
I turned and asked him, "Is your dog OK?"
He replied, "He's sitting on a nail."
"Why doesn't he move?" I inquired.
The gentleman replied, "It doesn't hurt THAT much!!!"

The Cynical Age has made people lazy. They may know that something hurts and change is needed, but they won't do anything.

Hey - it's your butt!!!
